About Linda
Possak Anderson T.C.R.G.
While
her name may not suggest it, Linda has very strong Irish
roots - with her mother hailing from Dublin (her father
from Austria). She began Irish dancing at seven years of
age and competed at the Open Championship level throughout
Western Canada, at the North American and the World Championships.
Following a successful competitive career, Linda completed
her teacher’s exam in 1991 and was awarded her T.C.R.G.
(Teasgicoir Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha - the translation
is Gaelic Commission Irish Dancing Teacher).
Since passing
her teacher’s exam Linda has instructed Irish dancing in
Calgary, Red Deer and Saskatoon. As an instructor, Linda
has developed many championship students and teams - her
competitive accomplishments are extensive. In addition to
running her competitive dance school, Linda has also taught
Irish dancing for studios and clubs such as Decidedly Jazz
Danceworks, Free House Dance Plus and the Glencoe Club.
